Gastric Bypass Pictures Tell The Real Weight Loss Story

The old saying that “a picture paints a thousand words” is certainly true in the case of gastric bypass surgery as can be seen from just the small selection of gastric bypass pictures shown here.

But this is not an easy journey and many high BMI patients are also concerned about the benefits and risks of this these medical procedures and skeptical about whether or not gastric bypass surgery can produce the results that many claim for it.

The pictures above were taken between the summer of 2003 and 2005 when one couple decided that they would both undergo gastric bypass surgery together and show the couple before surgery, one year after their operations and two years out from surgery.

Prior to gastric bypass surgery the husband weighed in at 360 lbs and his wife weighed around 300 lbs.

Two years down the road though they had managed to shed a combined total of no less than 317 lbs!
